The Kid-Tough Portable DVD Player by Fisher Price is the first portable DVD player that is tough and easy enough for kids to use.

Have you ever thought it would be good if the kids could have their own DVD player? Well now they can and you need not worry about them breaking it. The Fisher Price Kid Tough Portable DVD Player is designed to be bumped, kicked and dropped. It's sturdy construction makes it ideal for your kids.

"My daughter loves this DVD player. I bought it for a long flight (5 hours and vacation). It can withstand a lot of tough play and falls. It didn't skip or become disrupted at all. I wish the screen was a bit bigger but it is easy to use and she managed to learn which buttons to press on her own. The battery life was good for a couple of hours of continuous viewing. It has a stand that props it up if the kids don't want to hold it. I would recommend it! "

What do Parents And Kids Think About the Kid Tough Portable DVD Player?

My daughter loves this DVD player. I would recommend it even though it is pricey.

Even though I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $100+ on a "toy" for my 2 year old, I went ahead and purchased it. After only having this player for a few hours I can safely and proudly say that this was the BEST money I have spent in a long time. I LOVE the durability and ease of this item. My 2 yr old is ADHD and shopping with him is usually unbearable. Any trip to the grocery store longer than 15 minutes is pure torture...and the mall? forget it! BUT.. now.. I am certain that shopping will be fun again for BOTH of us. It keeps his focus and I dont have to worry about him dropping it 1,400 times!!
Thank you fisher price!!! :)

I bought this product as a gift for my 7 year old son who has special needs. He loves DVD's but he also loves pushing the buttons and making things happen. I introduced this to him last week before making an 8 hour road trip for the holiday weekend. It was perfect! The buttons are big and he learned what they do very quickly. He's dropped it and tossed it a few times already. The worse thing that has happened is that the DVD came dislodged. The thing looks like we've had it for a long time already because he is very rough with toys, but it has held up wonderfully! I'm thrilled and highly recommend it to anyone who's child likes to be in control of his dvd player.

Two quick things that I don't like for my situation, I wish the door could lock so he couldn't get it open. I am using a small piece of tape to keep him from getting it opened and from scratching the dvds. And it takes a little longer for the dvd to start playing. Children (and parents) will have to learn a little patience. Otherwise, AWESOME!
